SIGNS OF STRESS WITH KIDS

Researchers say it starts at age 3. The main reasons are family and school pressures.

Signs:

Behavior
Regression
Short temper
Lack of focus
Sleep deprivation
Illness

You can help by doing something fun such as blowing bubbles or pinwheels. Or write down personal messages on paper with phrases such as breathe slowly and or calm down and or I can do this. You can also have the numbers formula method 1, 3, and 10 which stands for 1 to calm down, take 3 deep breathes and count to 10 formula works really well with adult stress too. Have fun tangible toys such as a koosh ball and or silly puddy and or stress balls. Exercise for kids and adults that you can do together such as a yoga class, gym, walking as a family and or any outdoor activity.
