Top Chef Masters

Last night the final 3 made some awesome dishes. Rick Bayless won with all his Mexican food! Viva a la Mexico! Michael came in 2nd and Hubert came in 3rd.

September 3rd is the next storytime at 1030am at Hawaii Kai public library on Lunalilo Home Road for 18mo. to 36 mo. Toddlers play with puzzles, sing songs and listen to stories and do fun activities.

City and County and Dept. of Parks and Rec.

Don't forget to sign up your kids in our district one on Monday August 24th from 6pm to 8pm and August 25th and 26th from 2pm to 5pm. The parks have great classes offered to our kids and toddlers called Tiny Tots that is FREE but you have to particpate and rotate on snacks and a craft day only once. The fall program starts on Sept. 8th.

ART IN THE PARK-REMINDER

Don't forget to be on time at 930am for this keiki event sponsered by The Baby Hui celebrating 27 years of parent and teen support for this FREE event at 2900 Moanalua Park exit 3 from HI in both directions. It ends at 11am. You and your child can sing, dance, paint, sculpt and draw and plaly. You can stay and hang out if you bring a lunch and a blanket. This Wed. August 19th at 930 at Moanalua Park. If you need more info you can call 735 2484. There will also be a group leader training right after the event with Cindy from the Baby Hui.

Try this recipe for a different kind of lasagna. You can use cheese ravioli, mozzerella, tomato sauce, basil, frozen spinach and parmesan cheese. You layer your items and put in oven for 30 min at 350 degrees.

Just buy a regular cheese pizz and get a bunch of condiments such as mushrooms, olives, peppers, ham etc.... Cut rounds with a cookie cutter and top them like mini appetizers.

Get one of those rotissere chickens from Costco, Foodland and or Safeway and peel off the skin and pull the chicken, make some pasta, gargonzola cheese and walnuts and there is your gourmet pasta.
