Financial shortfalls have forced Linda Lingle to put into place the new furloughs tomorrow July 1st. This will mean that most offices will be closed 3 Fridays each month.
The state votes tomorrow on the budget shortfall to determine closing of schools and Wailupe is one of the elementary schools that will be closed this next school year. They will also determine if they need to have school lose 13 more days of the school year due to teachers pay and other funding.
